Shayla Adams-Stafford for County Council

Shayla Adams-Stafford is running for re-election to represent District 5 on the Prince George’s County Council. She plans to continue bringing progressive, results-driven leadership to the council. As a Democrat and lifelong advocate for equity, Shayla is committed to building a community where every resident has the opportunity to thrive. Her platform focuses on:

✔️Reducing the property tax burden for seniors so that those who have spent their lives contributing to our community can age with dignity.

✔️Creating high-wage careers by investing in skills training and partnering with unions to prepare our workforce for the industries of the future.

✔️Pursuing community-based development that prioritizes local businesses, affordable housing, and projects that reflect the values and voices of our neighborhoods—not the demands of outside developers.

✔️ Providing Stellar Constituent Services so that every resident of District 5 deserves timely, accessible, and effective support from their local government.

✔️ Protecting our environment, creating a litter-free community and enforcing the Climate Change Action Plan to ensure a better world for future generations.
